I’ve been looking for some motivation lately. It seems to me, that lately, I need more than my fair share.
Apparently not. My friends have pointed out to me, what I already knew. Sometimes things require repetition–especially if you want to become proficient in a specific area, or with a given task..
So I guess Zig got it right, motivation doesn’t last, much like bathing.
Now, I ‘m willing to try a new thing here or there, and with NANO getting ready to start, I am going to try something new.
Writing every day.
I’ve been told, numerous times, I might add– that in order to establish or to break a habit, repetition is required.
When I want to work out, in order to lose a little weight, I should exercise every day.
In order to complete that book, I should write every day.
In order to change, I must work at the task of changing.
Oh, I get it!
Everyday.
Well, let’s see how NANO goes. I know I can write about ten pages a day.
Hey! If I wrote ten pages a day, over 365 days, at the end of that year, I could have written approximately 9 Books! OMG! Why am I putzing around here, writing a blog, when I could be onto the next best thing since beer in cans.
Back to you during and at the end of NANO. We’ll see who writes and who doesn’t.
